January Comissions: I want to paint for you this year

December was full of pet portraits. What started as a singular request, snowballed and turned into the most pet portraits I’ve ever painted. And it was so much fun. So that gave my husband an idea…which he shared with me. And its a good idea, so here goes.

Each month in 2026, I will be releasing 10 spots for a specific kind of commission. And for January, I’m starting with house portraits. I want the chance to paint 10 different homes. Each commission will be an original gouache painting on an 8x10 piece of cold press watercolor paper. If you want to reserve one of the spots, all you have to do is contact me and send me a good quality picture of the home you would like for me to paint for you. I will finish it by the end of the month and mail it to you.

The house portraits I have painted in the past were perfect for commemorating an old property that you want to remember, for celebrating a property that has been renovated, or just a way to love the home you are in.

And if you’re interested, below are some of the pet portraits I painted this December. I’m sure I’ll be doing another month dedicated to pets in the new year.
